Privacy policy

No listening. No audio upload.

This policy explains the small amount of information EjectTone uses and the things it deliberately never collects.

Effective September 2, 2026

1. Who is responsible

EjectTone (the “App”) and ejecttone.app (the “Website”) are published by Yurii Koshkin in Spain. For privacy questions or requests, email support@ejecttone.app.

2. The short version

  • No account, sign-in, advertising, or cross-app tracking.
  • The App does not request microphone access, record audio, inspect speaker output, or upload audio.
  • Onboarding, entitlement cache, free-session state, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone.
  • Limited product analytics help us understand whether the App works; they do not contain audio, personal content, or contact details.
  • The Website does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

3. Information stored on your device

The App stores a small amount of local state so core features can work offline, including:

  • whether onboarding has been completed;
  • whether the included cleaning session has been genuinely completed;
  • whether a native App Store review request has already been attempted; and
  • a cached, previously verified lifetime entitlement.

Removing the App normally removes this local state, subject to standard iOS and device-backup behavior. Apple separately controls purchase history associated with your Apple Account.

4. Speaker playback and microphone

EjectTone generates finite sound locally and plays it through the built-in iPhone speaker. It checks the current output route to avoid starting through headphones, Bluetooth, AirPlay, or another external route. The App does not use the microphone, record your surroundings, measure speaker performance, or produce a diagnostic result.

5. Privacy-conscious product analytics

The App uses TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH in Germany, to send a limited set of coarse product events—for example, whether onboarding or a cleaning session completed, whether playback was interrupted, whether the paywall appeared, and a categorical purchase or restore outcome. App-defined events never include audio, precise volume, rendered frequency values, transaction IDs, localized prices, email addresses, advertising IDs, free-form errors, or user-created content.

For Apple’s App Privacy disclosure, these coarse purchase and entitlement outcomes are classified as Purchase History. They are used only for analytics, are not linked to your identity by us, and are not used for tracking.

The TelemetryDeck iOS SDK adds a pseudonymous client identifier derived by hashing Apple’s identifier for vendor, a random session identifier, event time, and standard device, app, run-context, accessibility, and calendar metadata. We do not provide TelemetryDeck with a custom user ID and do not use this information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses and processes analytics infrastructure in the European Union. Learn more in the TelemetryDeck Privacy Policy and Privacy FAQ.

6. Purchases

Apple processes App Store purchases, billing, restoration, and refunds. The App uses StoreKit to display product information and verify entitlement status. We do not receive payment-card details or your Apple Account password. Apple’s own privacy terms apply to that processing.

7. Support emails

If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer the request, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and retain any records required by law. The public support address forwards mail to the publisher’s inbox. You can ask us to delete a support conversation unless retention is legally required.

8. Retention and security

Local App state remains until it is changed by the App or you remove the App. TelemetryDeck currently states that cold-storage analytics have no guaranteed deletion schedule and are expected, but not guaranteed, to be deleted after approximately 7–10 years. Because the events are pseudonymous and not linked to an account with us, an individual event may not be identifiable for deletion. We limit collection and use Apple-protected app storage, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal data, or to complain to a data-protection authority. Because the App has no account and does not send us audio or personal content, we generally cannot retrieve local App state for you. Contact support@ejecttone.app for a privacy request.

10. Children and policy changes

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect account or content data from children. We may update this policy when the App, its analytics, or legal requirements change. The latest effective date will appear on this page.
